Need an Appointment?
If you'd like to book an appointment with the dentist at Seymour Dental then contact us, or call us in Dulwich Hill, Sydney on (02) 9564 2397.
There are yearly events that we celebrate: birthdays and Christmas, and the occasional wedding. No new bubs yet! Occasionally we have a movie night. It’s always fun trying to work what movie to see together. These events we don’t travel far and are sometimes in house, especially the birthdays.
The staff always go for the healthy cakes. Well, they don’t really exist, but we swear we do not buy cakes as a normal part of our diet! It’s great to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. There have been some milestone birthdays but the memory of the exact age seems to go no further than 21 for some reason.
At Christmas we dress up and go out for our Christmas celebration and buffet feast. We remember the year that was and catch up with our honorary life member Sue Holmes. One of the dentists is always a bit of worry at this time of year, but everyone tolerates him.
Every so often we will go out for a movie night, especially when there are new staff. It’s a casual setting to get to know one another, and hopefully decide on a movie before the night is out!
The dental students go on rural placements, so we get to learn how about other parts of our wonderful state. We also get news on how the students go into schools to teach dental health.
There is also a bit of sweating goes on as we raise money for the Wairoa Special School. Wairoa is a NSW Department of Education and Training school providing specialist educational services for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities.
The school offers placement for students between 4 and 18 years from the eastern and inner west suburbs of Sydney.
So each year for the past 6 years Dr Seymour and friends have done various runs including the City to Surf 14km run, the 7 km Bay Run, and Harbour Bridge Run of 9km. Recently, Roni has been kind enough to help carry some one over the finishing line.
Thank you to all the patients and colleagues, the staff, businesses, friends, family and people I have never met, who have donated to the school.
