Sue’s long service leave adventure from Kefalos Kos, Greece

Sue has been with us for over thirteen years. She recently had a well deserved long service leave break from Seymour Dental. So, over the next two weeks, Sue will talk about the small? amount life outside of dentistry.

“Sorry I haven’t sent any cards but I finally have access to email at my sister in laws and just a quick note to keep in touch. I am in a typical white Greek house on the top floor and the views here are just breathtaking. I am almost tempted to stay here and live a so called idyllic life amongst the goats and fig trees and very very Greek village life.

The weather is still very very hot and I am getting nice and brown. I have gone swimming about four times in the crystal clear water, and have gone snorkeling in the safety of no sharks or any dangerous animals.  I am woken up every day at 7:30am to the ringing of the church bells, too bad if I want to sleep in, as I can’t. I get up and go for morning walks to unbelievable views of mountains and seas with sunsets and sunrises that words can’t capture, even though I will try and you will all get sick of hearing about it no doubt!

There is one dental surgery here and I haven’t gone up to check it out but will try and see as everything closes at lunch and reopens at 5pm. Crazy system. I was walking home one day when I had to dodge a runaway goat being chased by two little dogs, it was a sight for sore eyes!!!

Missing you but I must say that life is so idyllic if I win the lotto I might just move to the country and have my own escape to the country.
