So why have we got to this state where there is loss of part of the human body. A part that God has given you, (which is free), and now human intervention will try and replicate, which is NOT free and NOT made by God.
Let’s assess the following to help us understand the why…
Remember the mouth is part of the human body that is part of the immune system through saliva and the gums blood vessels leaking immune cells. Some medical conditions can traumatise the mouth such as gastric reflux, or weaken the immune system such as diabetes.
Some medications side effects can dry the mouth, reducing the protection that saliva provides for 24 hours a day. Sometimes a chat with the doctor, if possible, to change medication with less of a dry mouth side effect.
Anxiety and stress can change our physiology that can cause dry mouth.
Even mouth breathing due to blocked nose can cause issues as well.
There are many other things to consider as we are complex creatures, interacting with many situations in our everchanging lives.
We never treat a stranger. A report from your doctor is extremely invaluable for clarity and for your safety.
The amount sugar in your diet is a preventable habit that leads to not only dental health but general medial health, such as diabetes. Bacteria that hurt teeth and build up layers on teeth LOVE sugars. The sticker the better.
Hey, I don’t make the rules, the bacteria do what they and care not for you.
For decay to occur, you need three things
The right sort of bacteria that love sugar and an acid environment.
The wrong diet that feeds these bacteria.
A suspectable tooth that has a weaken surface due to a dry mouth, gastric reflux, and/or difficult to clean anatomy (grooves) or arrangement of teeth.
If any of these items are not present then the risk of decay is greatly reduced, and therefore preventable!
