March 2, 2026

From time to time, we highlight our amazing patients.

Norm and Janelle Gorrie are a Christian Missionaries to Kenya, and I have known them over many years. He, and his family, have served the Kenyan people in many ways, and sometimes with hardship. This is Norm’s post.

“In world which is constantly changing Janelle (wife) and I been blessed to have Anthony and his team having our backs [ & the health of our teeth] since we, with 3 months of Tom, journeyed to north Kenya in 1989.

Faith in the one who is the Alpha and the Omega, the Redeemer.

On this journey, we have faced many challenges: droughts and famine, God’s protection of us and friends though numerous tribal clashes and Islamic extremists, car accidents etc.

It has been so precious to have this constant of booking in these appointments with Anthony and his team knowing we are in the hands of one of the best dentists going.

Together for Christ in north Kenya Partnership Update Oct 2025

Recession, very high unemployment, political assassinations, corruption and mismanagement and drought mean that so many are struggling to survive. Wages of pastors and gospel workers are very low.

Intensified radicalization of Islam in schools and the community. Converts facing persecution and ridicule. Most are not solidly grounded in Christ

We thank God for Bishop Daniel Qampicha’s leadership.

In his courageous charge to Synod Bishop highlighted the following;

  • Few men in church and those in church have minimal participation
  • Little focus on winning men for Christ.
  • Parents are absent and abdicating their God given responsibility to schools and churches.
  • Teenagers are disengaging with church. The church not discipling them, not equipping them to stand strong against opposition.
  • Lack of positive role models
  • The family was exposed to false teachings in and outside the church.
  • Sound biblical teaching is rare as false teachers go unchecked.
We thank God for Bishop Daniel Qampicha’s leadership

We thank God that He enabled us to work together with Pastors, Evangelists, and other leaders – (including the Next Generation of emerging leaders) addressing some of the vital issues which Bishop had highlighted in order for the Gospel to advance.

The power of Connection and Encouragement; thanks for your partnership. be it through praying, or caring – taking the time to respond to our posts etc and for those financially supporting fellow Christians in north Kenya.

We are thankful how God kept us safe. – thanks for your prayers. We love the way the Lord brings Christians together from different parts of the planet, to work hand in hand — each contributing in different ways and capacities. Folks are, so, so encouraged to know you care, and that you see the value of their sacrifices to make Christ known. [Sadly, that encouragement is not that common]

Thanks Janelle and Norm
