Hello loyal readers. It is I, the son of Dr Seymour. I’m here to give you a teen’s perspective on dentistry, sugary goodies and maintaining clean teeth.
The staff at Seymour dental are quite friendly towards me, (probably because I’m the son of their boss) but are also friendly to their patients too, which is quite relieving. It’s a really delightful place too, nice carpet, clean rooms and good water. The area it’s in is quite a way away from our house so it’s a bit of a drive. Also, Dad is always hard working at work, which allows him to connect more with his patients.
Now, I love confectionaries. They’re a lovely treat, and overall improve your mood, but you’ll have to remember to brush your teeth, otherwise you’ll end up with decay (like half my friends), so remember to brush and not overdo it. Though, to be honest, the main reason I don’t eat as many goodies as I would is because my dad would give me THAT look, which is never good.
The dentist’s chair isn’t always fun, not because my dad’s evil (he’s pretty cool), but because of that suction thing they put in your mouth that chokes you with air and makes it hard to keep your mouth open. And don’t even get me started on when he made my mouthguard (better than buying one I guess). But you know the worst part? Getting fluoride and as a result, not being able to eat for half an hour after the operation! This sucks, as everyone eats lunch, nice and warm, and I’m stuck with microwave fodder ☹. But hey, at least if the dentist does a bad job, I know where he lives.
