Thanks to all of you who have followed the Seymour Dental Blog which is now approaching 300 articles. We also have sent 23 newsletters which have been archived.
We will travel through 2015 month by month and pick out the highlights of each mouth.
January
The holiday month
We take a break from all things dental and where the team are in the world. This year saw Dr Seymour going to New Zealand. He did some rafting and then travelled to Milford Sound in the land of the Long White Cloud. The end of January snuck in a dental blog on bad breath. Why not!
February
Back to School
This month was dominated by different aspects of bad breath. This included bad breath associated with dental appliances, and then the prevention of bad breath associated with the teeth and the gums. Bad breath in the mouth is the result of retained bacteria and all our efforts are to reduce this retained bacteria as much as possible.
March
The bad breath blogs continued with bad breath from other sources of the body, the sinus/nasal, and the back of the throat and beyond. The remainder of the month we discussed what we had learnt in our medical emergency course and what a pulse oximeter does. Seymour dental also introduced our new dentist Dr Kim Nguyen. Welcome to the practice!
April
Anzac Day
The Child Dental Scheme was explained in more detail with a couple of blogs discussing the treatments that are available under the scheme. Also as with any scheme, we pointed out the restrictions and limitations that come with this government scheme.
The Anzac Day blog reminded us of the terrible conditions on the men’s health who fought in the Great War. The horrible conditions they fought under and the health consequences from a dental and oral aspect.
Lest we forget.
