Miroma Art exhibition of adults with ability 2022

June 11, 2022
Steadfast the Exhibition by Inala

For many years now we have been raising money for Miroma and Inala by running the 10km Harbour Bridge run for adults with special needs to promote ability in September. It has been two years since the last art exhibition thanks to covid. Please visit the art exhibition in person. Also, the paintings are for sale. Most of all, being aware and supporting this community, is greatly appreciated.

Steadfast – The Exhibition by Inala

Steadfast brings together works from our artists made before and during the pandemic. With the disruptions and restrictions to our community; our artists worked small creative bubbles, using colour and energetic forms to bring light in dark times. Our artists focused on long term ceramic projects, taking their time on canvas works, experimenting with collage, mixed media along with stencil and printmaking techniques to create a cohesive body of work. With bold color, with confident strokes, with scale and mass this exhibition showcases more than just the talents of our artists. These works show the inner strength and perseverance to create and thrive in uncertain times.

About Inala

The arts program at Inala has a long-demonstrated history of producing high quality art and craft, holding exhibitions around the eastern suburbs and North West for the last 2 decades. Our creative community are guided by their art educators to explore their own artistic journeys through the application of different traditional media and encouraged to experiment. The artists also use a mixture of non-traditional and recycled materials, encouraging sustainable practice. Inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, Inala is a community that is conscious of all its members and where each individual makes a unique contribution. Our approach is based on the belief that each person has the ability and the right to impart meaning and direction to their own life. This is put into practice through Inala’s range of art and craft programs, embracing each artist’s creativity and self-expression.
