Pain Relief – Part 2 – Drainage / Antibiotics

June 9, 2025

There are other situations where medication on its own won’t resolve the pain

Abscess

An abscess is a fluid fill space in the body that contains pus. However, more importantly, it means the tissue structure in the abscess has been destroyed by the micro-orgasms and the body’s response to it. That means there is no blood supply within the abscess to carry nutrients and the body’s defence cells into the “battle”. Even any medication that is given to the patient such as antibiotics, or painkillers may not work.

The pressure can start to build up and cause significant pain especially in an enclosed space, like bone.

So, to relieve pain the abscess needs to be drained.

There is an expression, “never let the sun set on pus.”

In other words, before the day is out, drain the pus, otherwise there will be no sleep for the patient.

Drainage, relieves the pressure, and allows the body to start to rebuild the damage area. Sometimes, there is a large area of damage that a drain is placed to help continue a consistent relieving of pus out of the body.

The pus can be swabbed to identify the micro-orgasm causing the infection and the appropriate medication/tactic to fight it.

Antibiotics

Antibiotics, itself is not a painkiller, however, it targets the micro-orgasms. The common group of micro-organisms in the mouth, are bacteria. Once the antibiotics start to work, the inflammation starts to ease and therefore the pain decreases.

Antibiotics usually take 24-48 hours to start to work.
