The month started with the Blog Series – All you wanted to know about health funds but were afraid to ask – Deciphering the item numbers. There are many item numbers, so there are 3 parts to it. It also shows that there are a lot of procedures that can be done by dentists. Until I went through these items, I did not really realise how much we need to know. The human body (and human beings) are complex!
The end of the month in 2019 was the Easter weekend with Easter’s Meaning and finishing with ANZAC Day – Lest We Forget; a fitting end to April.
The month started with two blog series – Women and Oral Health for Dental Health Week, and Antibiotics.
We then ventured into the realm of Different Types of Infections in the Mouth – Part 1 – Opportunistic Infections. May ended with introducing Dr Esther to the Seymour Dental Team.
Coming into the middle of the year was some interesting aspects of dentistry that are not always found in the glossy magazines – Different Types of Lesions in the Mouth series, with Part 2a – Viruses also in June.
There was the blog on Gastric Reflux and let’s not forget about The defences of the mouth blog with its opening statement – “Sorry to say this, the mouth is a dirty place. It’s teeming with bacteria and fungi. How does the human race survive?!”
