End of another decade! It’s been almost 20 years since the Sydney 2000 Olympics games. Seymour Dental has existed another decade on top of that. We now have a city and suburb that is unrecognisable with apartments springing up all over the place above ground. Car tunnels dug below ground. Light rail lines snaking through the streets of Sydney filled with so many speed sign changes, and Uber eats push bikes.
It’s going to be an interesting decade to navigate.
So let’s look at 2019.
The highlights of 2018 part 1, part 2, and part 3 were explored with the month ending with Australia Day.
The highlights of 2018 finished with part 4. Our yearly refresher course in medical emergency training in a dental practice was completed by staff and dentists. This is always interesting and necessary because it’s always changing! Check out what DRSABCD means. Also, more explanation of the CD in DRSABCD during a cardiac arrest is explored. The most significant change was the administration of oxygen is now viewed as giving a drug, and therefore needs to be recorded. In the past we gave 100% oxygen for long periods of time and thought it was safe. Now we have found that this unregulated use has led to permanent damage of parts of the body.
We continued the series on How Often Do We Need to Review – Children Development and Bite – Part 4 – Lower Jaw Development with three aspects:
The month ended with a bit of fun with Dentist at Large – Joy in Mogo & Batsman’s Bay.
